The main living areas are zoned to the ground floor and include a rumpus room, office and family, lounge and formal dining rooms. There are two standout features on this level, firstly the contemporary kitchen with a black Italian sink, white marble benchtop, custom table, Gaggenau appliances and a zip tap for hot, cold or sparking water. The other highlight is the formal dining and loungeroom with a bar, curved marble fireplace and river and skyline views. One bedroom with an ensuite is on the ground floor while four further bedrooms, including the maid’s quarters with a kitchenette, are on the first level. The main bedroom offers a private balcony, gym, study, walk-in wardrobe, ensuite and steam room. Property consulting firm Belvue founding director Jonathan Grasso and his wife Roberta own the home. The mansion is on the market with a $9.95 million price tag through Kollosche director Michael Kollosche. The property was listed with the same price guide for almost 12 month in 2017 but it’s lavish renovation has since been completed. Mr Kollosche said the owners spent millions of dollars on the luxe update. “Their motivation after the renovation is to relocate to the beachfront for a change in lifestyle,” he said. “It’s a very unique home that sits on three blocks, north facing on main river … and what it offers for a larger family is pretty unique.” Tropical paradise outside … … Art Deco glamour inside. The luxury home at No. 131-135 is owned by Gold Coast property identity Jonathan Grasso and his wife Roberta, who purchased it in 2015. Mr Grasso is the founding director of property consulting firm Belvue. “Through the renovation we were aiming to create a modern luxurious private estate with resort-size proportions,” he said. “Some of the highlights from the update include European timber floors to the entire ground level of the home and 500sq m of external granite tiles.“We also included eight new bathrooms, a marble staircase, fully handcrafted state-of-the-art kitchen and tiled steam room.” There are numerous outdoor entertainment areas. Inside, you can unwind in style.Mr Grasso said days were always best spent outdoors thanks to the property’s impressive yards, which were perfect for entertaining. “Our favourite parts of the property would have to be the poolside pavilion and cabanas that overlook the tropical internal park out front,” he said. “Plus, out the back, the northern aspect of main river and the Surfers Paradise skyline with a riverside barbecue pavilion and bar area is an amazing spot.” The five-bedroom house has recently undergone an extensive renovation.
